Twist in crime and an honest cheat

Just when you think the criminal class have run out of new crimes to commit you hear of a story in which they out do themselves. Although it might not really be to their credit.

A south Florida kidnapping and robbery incident turned the tables on the victim and left him with a lot of explaining to do – mainly leaving him to explain to his wife (his children and his mother) why he had a girlfriend.

Incidentally he might also have explain to his girlfriend why he had a wife and kids (I'm sure he rather explain the mother though, not that he would be asked about that).

As the story goes four masked men broke into a pickup truck in which the man was happily sitting with his girlfriend. Two of the the men forced the man into a separate vehicle and bound his hands while the other two got into the pickup truck and cuffed the woman.

The two were then driven to the man's home in Miami, where his wife, mother and children were – because, naturally, that's where they lived.

Investigators told local news radio that the thieves then tied everyone up inside the house and stole thousands of dollars worth of cash and jewelry.

To really add insult to injury, the masked bandits left the girlfriend in the home before taking off into the night.

There is no news of whether the man had begged the bandits to take him with them.

Not that I recommend lying or cheating, but since the man was already doing the latter he could have just as well lied as to where he lived and saved himself quite the mess.
